 | One direction also known as 1D was the first UK boy band to have the fastest selling debut album in 2011. There single, "What makes you beautiful" was number on on the billboard 200 charts and the top ten itunes charts. They also won a BRIT award for the best british single in 2012. Their band was formed on June 23 at 8:10 pm on a british television show called the "X factor". They are now known as the British Invasion. The band is also known to be more popular then the Beatles. Justin Beibers Madison square garden concert sold out in 20 minutes, while One directions whole tour sold out in only 12 minutes. They will be having a North America tour in 2013. They also will be releasing a new album soon on November 13 called "Take me home"! They previously played at the London 2012 Olympics and won 3 awards at the VMA's. |
